MINISTRY

Prayer Mobilization

Though the movement was started as a team effort of a few like-minded brethren in India, the ministry of Intercession initially began as a result of a burden for prayer for the Nations that the Lord had placed upon the heart of Dr. Thomas Samuel about 25 years ago.  The burden gradually matured and became a conviction and birthed the first National Prayer Conference in early 1989 which was held at the Quiet Corner Prayer Mountain with selected delegates from different parts of India. It was in this conference we declared a decade of Intercessory Prayer for the Nation. (1989 - 1999), and still continues till this day.

INSTITUTE OF INTERCESSORY PRAYER

Conducting Intercessory Prayer Institutes from time to time in different parts of India to impart the vision through God's word and to train Intercessors. The goal is to see every Christian home in India a "House of Prayer" for Nations."God changes the world by prayer. Prayers are deathless, the lips that uttered them may be closed in death, the heart that felt them may have cease to beat, but prayers .... outlive the lives of those who uttered them, outlive generation, outlive an age, outlive a world".

STANDING IN THE GAP FOR THE NATION

Faith moves mountains but when God’s people unite their hearts and cry out to Him, the very heart of God is moved. And it was a powerful heart cry that went up to Him. The gates of heaven were surely rattled when 128 Intercessors from 9 states in India came to “stand in the gap” for a week in January 2002.
It was a week that will be remembered by many for many days to come. It was also a gathering that was unique in several ways. Not only was there a diverse representation from 9 states in India, displaying much diversity in language, region and culture, more significantly the diversity in church affiliations and denominations were broken down as His people united in prayer and intercession.
The only agenda at this meeting was Intercession and the soul cry: “Lord, in your mercy visit our nation in a supernatural way!” The sessions from God’s Word on intercessory prayer, revival and spiritual battle were powerful. These sessions were followed by power-packed times of intercession. Each day was a heavenly feast which began with a time of worship and prayer at 7 a.m and carried on till 8.30 p.m. with small breaks in between. Most evening were times of fasting and prayer. Some of the delegates wished that the week could have been extended. This gathering of God’s people couldn’t have been such a success without the whole-hearted cooperation and support of the Local Church, which gave us their church and other facilities to accommodate the delegates. The young people did a marvelous job of helping in the cooking and serving for the delegates.
It was New Delhi in 2002, Secunderabad in 2003, Kochi in 2004, Mysore in 2005, Quiet Corner Camp Center in 2006, Nagpur in 2007, Varanasi (U.P) in January 2008 and Quiet Corner Camp Center in 2009 and 2010.
